Hawai’i

5 year ago, I took the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii with my entire family. Ever since I was really young I have always wanted to live on a beautiful island and have the opportunity to spend time in such an incredible place. Actually going to this place really exceeded the expectations that I had. We spent time on two different islands: one was Honolulu (the big island) and the other was Kauai. Honolulu was definitely my favorite, as it was a perfect blend of both city and nature. I actually was just recently accepted to a university in Honolulu called Hawai’i Pacific University. I would love to be able to spend four years in such an extraordinary place. Of course my parents aren’t very fond of the idea due to the fact that it’s like 13 hours away… but they said they would support me with whatever I choose. Kauai was more of just the pure Hawaiian nature and we actually went to a Luau (a traditional Hawaiian celebration) and it was an experience that I could never forget. The ocean water was of course the clearest I have ever seen. Casually swimming with sea turtles was an experience that I will never forget. I hope I can return to Hawai’i very soon!
